Agility work is lighter, focuses on footwork patterns and basic directional change, and emphasises fun and engagement. These young athletes are still developing coordination and body awareness. Heavy load and high intensity would be inappropriate.
Teenagers (13–17 years) can handle more intense agility training. Plyometric intensity increases, directional change speed intensifies, and reactive agility training becomes more complex. The body is more resilient, and the competitive demands of amateur competition warrant more challenging programming.
Adult professional fighters need peak-performance agility training. Training intensity is maximal.
